Pete Americo

Pete Americo is the Corporate Director of Rehabilitation Services at CAMC and holds a M.S. degree in Speech Pathology. He is a DDI Certified Facilitator and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Pete has practiced speech pathology for nearly 40 years and has served 20 of that in an administrative capacity at CAMC. He has also served as Director/Coordinator of Cleft Palate Children’s Camps, University Affiliated Clinics and Educational Institutes. Pete has taught courses on improvement of verbal and non-verbal communication for both face to face and group interactions at local, state and regional levels. Pete’s favorite pastime is entertaining his two grandsons Austin and Tyler.


Dianna Branham

Dianna Branham is the Nurse Manager for 4-South at CAMC Memorial and holds an A.D.N. in Nursing. Dianna has been a nurse manager for 26 of her 35 years as a CAMC employee. Dianna is a DDI Certified Facilitator. Some of her past and current activities are Retention Recognition Council Advisor, Budget and Resource member, Management R&R member, Management Leader in redesign projects, Tri-Divisional Health Unit Coordinator advisor, and New Nurse Manager mentor. Dianna was awarded the Heart & Soul Award in April 2006. In addition to these activities, Dianna was a Mountains of Challenge Facilitator. In her spare time, she likes to participate in the Health Ministry at her church, vacation at Hilton Head, attend WVU football games, and spend as much time as possible with her husband, 2 children Tara (Jason) Miller, and Todd and enjoy their dog an d Grand-dogs Ginger, Capone, Bella, and Cole!


Denise Burgess

Denise is the Director of Obstetrical Services at Women and Children’s Hospital. She is a Registered Nurse and holds a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and is a National Board Certified Counselor. Since her return to CAMC in October of 2000 she has been actively involved in both community and system wide educational efforts. She has developed and presented workshops, in-services and educational sessions on topics of team building, parenting styles, conflict, domestic violence, workforce development, stress management and marital communications. She is a CREW, TeamSTEPPS and  DDI Certified Facilitator.  Denise serves as guest faculty for WVUPC educating third year medical students during their OB/GYN rotations on screening and intervention techniques for patients living in violent situations. Her free time is devoted to her family, enjoying music, reading and spending time on the beach at every opportunity.


Cindy Burkholder

Cindy Burkholder is the Human Resources Director for CAMC Memorial Hospital, CHERI, IHCPI and the Lighthouse Childcare and Development Center. She holds a M.S. degree in Labor and Industrial Relations and is a DDI Certified Facilitator. During her 15 years at CAMC, her human resources expertise has involved discipline management, employee handbooks, employee surveys, and performance management and employment litigation. Cindy also teaches human resources classes. During her free time, Cindy enjoys reading, following various sports and raising her son Blake and twin daughters Alva and Reagan.


Donna Canterbury

Donna Canterbury is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with CAMC.  She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and is a DDI Certified Facilitator.  During her 19 years at CAMC Donna spent 15 years in Medical Imaging working as a technologist at all three of CAMC's hospitals. She was Clinical Operations Manager at Women and Children's, and then was Director of General and Women & Children's for 5 years.  Representing CAMC and BMG Donna has given presentations on LEAN, 5S, and DFSS nationally.  In her private time Donna enjoys spending time with her husband Travis and her son Pyper.

Casto
Angie Casto

Angie Casto is the Nurse Manager for the Women’s Medicine Center at Women & Children’s Hospital. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Health Administration. Angie has been a nurse manager for 9 of her 17 years as a CAMC employee. Prior to coming to the Women’s Medicine Center in 2009, Angie was the nurse manager at General Hospital, managing 7 South, 3 South, and Kidney Transplant.  Angie is a facilitator for Crucial Conversations. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors with her husband Brian as well as spending time with their grandson Landon.

Crede
Connie Crede

Connie Crede is the Lab Operations Manager for CAMC General.  She holds an MBA from University of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Marshall University.  Connie has been in the Supervisory and/or Management role for 10 of her 25 years as a CAMC employee.  Having received her Green Belt in Six Sigma/Lean training, she has been an active member and/or mentor on numerous Six Sigma/Lean projects throughout CAMC departments.  Connie received the Heart and Soul award in 2002 for her Missions work with children from Belarus. In addition to these activities, Connie has been an active participant on the West Virginia Board for the Clinical Laboratory Management Association. She is an active member of her church where she works with multiple missions.  In her spare time, she loves to ski, camp, kayak, and travel as much as possible with her family and friends


Judy Ditchen

Judy is the Nurse Manager for the Medical Rehabilitation Center.  She holds a BSN and is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse.  She has been a manager for 12 of her 25 years with CAMC,  Judy is a Six Sigma Green Belt and was awarded the Heart & Soul award in April 2005. In her private time, Judy enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike and children Matthew and Alejandra plus April the Wonder Dog. She is active in her church and is a Girl Scout Leader.


Heidi Edwards
Heidi  is the Nurse Manager of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit and holds a BSN in Nursing.  Heidi has been a Nurse Manager for 5 years of her 20 years as a CAMC Employee. Heidi is a facilitator for Crucial Conversations.  Her experience includes Six Sigma Green Belt training which has been applied to multiple performance improvement initiatives such as Severe Sepsis, AMI, and Glycemic Control.  Heidi was awarded the Heart and Soul Manager Award in April 2010.  She has also led her staff to receiving a Quality Award nomination in 2010 and a Quality Award recipient in 2011 for their work sustaining the Transforming Care Together initiative.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Steve, her two children, Haley and Jarrett, and serving to support the youth, children’s and music ministry at her church.

Mark Eickbusch

Director of Nursing Quality- I have over 30 years of nursing experience with over 25 years in nursing management.  I have been given the opportunity to facilitate many groups during my career.   These opportunities have helped shape me in my practice as a nurse, a manager and a person.


George Farris

George Farris is currently serving as the Associate Administrator for Medicine Services for Memorial Hospital. He earned an MBA from West Virginia University, and holds certifications as a Six Sigma Green Belt and a DDI Certified Facilitator. He has also been trained in the LEAN Methodology under the guidance of the Breakthrough Management Group. George began his career in the Management Engineering department at CAMC in 1987 as a Project Coordinator, eventually moving to the Director of Management Engineering in 1998. He served as Program Director of a system wide organizational initiative to redesign operations from 1994 to 1998. Particular areas of interest to George include leadership development, performance improvement, and organizational ethics. Personal interests include woodworking, boating and exercising.


Paula Harless
Paula Harless is a CAMC Nurse Manager for the Gynecology/Oncology Unit at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital. She completed her Master of Health Administration degree in 2006 and is a DDI Certified Facilitator. Paula has worked on the gynecology unit for 32 years as a staff nurse, charge nurse, clinical management coordinator and nurse manager. When working as a charge nurse and clinical management coordinator she was responsible for all staff education on her unit. She is a CAMC Internal Malcolm Baldrige Expert and a six Sigma Green Belt. Paula is actively involved in the Transforming Care Together (TCT) initiative at Women and Children’s Hospital, along with helping to facilitate the education classes for TCT for all three hospitals. When she isn’t working, Paula enjoys being with her grandson, gardening, cross-stitch, and going to the beach.

Ed Haver
Ed is the Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department and the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease at CAMC Memorial Hospital where he works with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers. Prior to coming to CAMC 18 years ago he directed a similar program at a hospital in the Napa Valley, California for 12 years. Ed holds a M.A. degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of California, Davis and is a DDI Certified Facilitator and a Six Sigma Green Belt. He has worked in the field of cardiac rehab for over 38 years. He enjoys speaking to numerous community groups on topics related to health. He and his wife, Ginny, use their vacation time to visit their daughters -- Rebecca in Honduras and Sarah in South Africa



Richard Hite

Richard Hite is the Respiratory Supervisor at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital in Hurricane, WV.  He has a B.S. degree in Healthcare Management and an A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy.  Rick has worked in Respiratory Therapy for 34 years and served in a management role for 28+ years.  Rick has completed the Leadership Charleston Program through some work with the local Chamber of Commerce and most recently received certification as a DDI Facilitator.  He is a father of 2 and a grandfather of 2.  He enjoys his family, camping and the great outdoors in his spare time and volunteers at Christ’s Kitchen at St. Marks Church in St. Albans as much as possible

Lee
Terrie Lee
Terrie Lee is the Director of Infection Prevention & Employee Health for CAMC.  Terrie worked as a clinical nurse on Pediatrics before entering the field of Infection Prevention in 1980.  She has a B.S. in Nursing from Alderson-Broaddus College, an M.S. in Management/Healthcare Administration from WV College of Graduate Studies, and an M.P.H. from The Ohio State University. Terrie has taught and facilitated many workshops and educational sessions, and is a frequent presenter at conferences and workshops around the country.  Along with her husband Rick, Terrie is a roller coaster enthusiast, and looks for opportunities to get away for an occasional ride!

Jean Morgan

Jean is the Corporate Risk Manager for CAMC.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Masters in Human Resource Management.  Her work opportunities have included the roles of legal assisting, claims and litigation management and risk management with an increased focus on patient safety.  She holds certifications in risk management, patient safety officer training, and Just Culture concepts.


Lillian Morris
Safety Officer- As Safety Officer, I have been responsible for organizational assessment of the need and readiness for this program.  I completed the instructor training program in 2010.  During my years at CAMC I have completed facilitator training programs and have developed and facilitated a variety of educational projects

Elizabeth Pellegrin

.Elizabeth Pellegrin has experience in the supervision of advertising, marketing research, public relations and governmental affairs in the United States and abroad. Having worked in Washington, D.C., Germany and France with clients in the fields of health care, education, banking and business development, she brings a broad background in advertising and communications. Ms. Pellegrin has extensive experience in senior management as well as strategic planning, advertising, public relations, market research, radio and television. In 2001, Pellegrin was recognized by the West Virginia Executive Magazine as a “Young Gun” for her leadership and strategic skills. She is active in the community and currently serves on the YWCA Board of Directors, the Wayfinding Commission for the City of Charleston and the Marketing Committee for the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. In addition, Ms. Pellegrin has been a guest speaker for press conventions, media groups and universities and is a DDI Certified Facilitator.

Kit Reed
Kit Reed

Katherine “Kit” Reed has worked in the Infection Prevention Department at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), Charleston, WV since 1986.  She is certified in Infection Control and completed her Masters degree in Public Health in 2000.  Kit has served her professional organization – APIC, both locally and nationally. She has served her local chapter (APIC-WV) as President, Board of Directors, Secretary, annual conference planning committee and various other committees.  Nationally, she has served APIC on the Bylaws, Membership, Education Committees and the Annual Conference Task Force - 2004 Phoenix, 2005 Baltimore, 2006 Tampa (Co-chair), 2007 San Jose (Chair) and 2008 Denver.  Currently, Kit is serving on the Education Committee and is a reviewer for on-line courses.  In her spare time, Kit has served as President of Children’s Theatre of Charleston for the past three years and is the costume designer for their shows.

Lisa Songer

Nurse Manager MICU/MET/Admission Overflow Unit- I attended the BSN program for nursing after which I worked as a staff nurse and then charge nurse in the Coronary ICU.  In 2009 I moved into a manager position.  I am active with the AACN as an ambassador for the professional community as well as working with others to start a local chapter for the association.  I received 2010 Nurse Excellence award in leadership and was asked to participate with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to participate in practice analysis panel.  I have assisted and lead Six Sigma projects including an active role as the first unit at Memorial Division undergoing Transforming Care together.  These experiences have all assisted in my professional growth and made it more evident that Just Culture is a necessary component in our daily practice.


Tracey Suppa-Todd

Tracey Suppa-Todd is a Human Resources Associate.  Her office is located at CAMC Memorial Hospital, though she works with employees at Memorial, General, Women and Children’s Hospitals as well as at several CAMC off-site locations.  She holds a MA degree in Psychology and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and as a DDI Facilitator. Tracey has worked in the field of Human Resources since 1996 and during that time, has worked as a trainer, employment specialist, and HR generalist.  She has been with CAMC since 2001.  She enjoys meeting new employees as a facilitator for new hire orientation and also helping managers in her areas of responsibility improve and maintain employee satisfaction.  At home, Tracey stays busy with her husband, Daniel, and as a Girl Scout troop leader for their two daughters, Tori and Nola.  She also recently joined her girls in the limelight in a couple of productions by a local children’s theatre company and she is currently training for her first half marathon


Beverly Thornton
Beverly Withrow-Thornton is an Education Specialist with the CAMC Institute and holds a B.A. degree in Leadership, Organizational Development and HR Management and an A.D. in Nursing. She is a DDI Certified Facilitator and serves as the chairperson for the CAMC Multidisciplinary Patient and Family Education Council. During Bev's 25 years at CAMC, she co-authored "The Effect of Instructional Media on Learner Motivation", and opened a consumer health information center to improve access of healthcare information to the public. As an Education Specialist, her primary focus is on community health and patient and family education. Bev has two daughters, Kara, and Krista, and one son, Dustin. In her spare time, Bev enjoys Irish dancing, church activities, and spending time with her husband and children.

Kristi Snyder
Kristi is the Corporate Director for Human Resource. Kristi has responsibilities for the HR functions at General and Women and Children’s Hospital and the Employment Center. She holds a M.S. degree in Industrial Relations and is certified as a DDI Facilitator, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Crucial Conversations Facilitator. Kristi’s 14 years with CAMC have been filled with a variety of human resource related activities such as new employee orientation, conflict management, performance management and providing manager and employee education. She also serves as a TJC resource related to Human Resources standards. In her private time, Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim, 3 sons - Cole, Seth, and Owen, and their dog, Yankee.

Andrew Weber
Andrew Weber is currently serving in the role of VP/Administrator for Women and Children’s Hospital. He earned an MBA from Xavier University, is a graduate of the Leadership Charleston Program, and holds certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt and a DDI Certified Facilitator. Andrew began his career in the profession of Human Resources at CAMC. After a couple of years in HR, he ventured into the world of operations. Over the last nine years, Andrew has completed an administrative fellowship, served as Director of the CAMC Vascular Center of Excellence and Associate Administrator at both Women and Children’s and General Hospitals. Particular areas of interest to Andrew include patient satisfaction, leader coaching and mentoring, and development of new services. During his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and their daughter, Molly. He also enjoys playing soccer and water skiing
