CAMC Center for Telehealth represents a collaborative interactive television network in West Virginia with Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) and West Virginia University as the main service centers along 19 rural sites. These sites include hospitals, community health centers and Veteran's Administration Hospitals.
This interactive video network allows rural health care facilities and clinicians throughout West Virginia rapid access to the medical, educational and technological resources of the state's teaching hospitals. Currently, demonstration projects are underway to evaluate telemedicine and telehealth activities in selected West Virginia correctional facilities for adults and juveniles.
