Important components of this educational series include promoting the delivery of evidenced-based medical care, medical nutritional therapy, self-care management training and diabetes pharmacotherapy.
Upon completion of this program, Diabetes Education for Primary Care Providers, West Virginia Medicaid Providers (DO, MD, NP and CDE) will be eligible for reimbursement from West Virginia Bureau for Medical Services to provide patient education for West Virginians with diabetes. (Physician Assistants will use their employing physicians’ Medicaid number and personal 4-digit identifier. These numbers will track your participation.)
