Pharmacy Administration 

Brian Sayre, Pharm.D
. , obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from Davis & Elkins College and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. He completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center . Before returning to CAMC, Dr. Sayre practiced in ambulatory care at a rural community health center and also served as the pharmacy manager. Dr. Sayre was formerly the Pharmacy Operations Director , but has recently received the title of Corporate Director of CAMC Pharmacy.

Brian M. Hodges , Pharm.D. BCPS, BCNSP , is the coordinator for clinical pharmacy services and a critical care pharmacy clinician at CAMC.  Dr. Hodges earned his Bachelor’s and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and completed a two-year Specialized Residency in Pharmacotherapy Practice at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Prior to coming to CAMC, Dr. Hodges served as a faculty member at WVU and clinical specialist at MUSC. He has three times received outstanding teacher of the year awards at WVU.  Dr. Hodges has practice experience in numerous critical care settings, has authored papers and chapters in widely read journals and textbooks, and has been active in national pharmacy organizations.  His current practice and research interests include assessing therapeutic drug monitoring, evidence based nutrition support therapies, and safe drug utilization in critically ill patients.

Jamie Baughan, MHA., has served as the Pharmacy Business Manager for the Charleston Area Medical Center Health System since December 2004. Prior to her service in Pharmacy, she served at the CAMC Health Education and Research Institute as a Research Assistant for the WVU Physicians of Charleston at Charleston Area Medical Center Women and Children’s Hospital. In this capacity she built the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) research program, the only COG research program in the state of West Virginia. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration with a minor in Human Resources from West Virginia University Institute of Technology and a Master of Health Care Administration degree from Marshall University Graduate College. Mrs. Baughan received an ICARE award from McKesson for her successful contributions to drug cost containment in April 2007 and a “Best in Deployment” Quality Award in 2008 from CAMC for successfully leading a multidisciplinary team in project utilizing Six Sigma DMAIC and Plan-Do-Check-Act methodologies to optimize barcode medication administration across the CAMC Health System. She also achieved her Six Sigma Green Belt certification in May 2010 and continues to work on various performance improvement projects for the CAMC Pharmacy departments.

Kevin R. Parker, R.Ph. obtained his Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 1995. He is the pharmacist in charge at the CAMC Employee Pharmacy.  He has over 15 years experience as a pharmacist, with the first 12 years spent as a community pharmacist at Kroger Pharmacy in Marmet (1.5 years) and Fruth Pharmacy in Eleanor (over 11 years).  He holds a certification in the PEIA Face to Face Diabetes program and has served as a preceptor for West Virginia University since 2003 and the University of Charleston since 2007. He currently holds the position of treasurer for the West Virginia Pharmacists Association. He was born and raised in WV and is an avid WVU fan.
