The West Virginia Rural Health Conference is held each year in the fall. The purpose of this annual conference is to offer education, information, and networking opportunities to health care providers, policymakers, communities, and students of health professions. In pursuit of overall health of West Virginians, the conference includes interesting forums, special event meetings, and breakout sessions. Each year the conference focuses on rural health care issues, cutting edge initiatives, and creative methods to assist in solving current challenges.

The conference is coordinated by the Division of Rural Health and Recruitment/OCHSHP/BPH/WVDHHR and CAMC Health Education and Research Institute, which facilitates continuing education units. Other partners include the WV Rural Health Association, WV Area Health Education Center, WV Higher Education Policy Commission, WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, WV School of Osteopathic Medicine and  the Center for Rural Health Development.

Scholarships for conference registration and lodging are available to qualifying health professions students and community volunteers who are not employed in the health field.  Each year the planning committee collaborates to invite dynamic speakers who will present exciting topics to conference participants.

Come and join us this coming year!
