Charleston Area Medical Center School of Nurse Anesthesia entry level program is now a doctorate program.

The School has received full accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) for the first entry level nurse anesthesia doctorate program in the nation.

The School enrolled the first doctorate class in June of 2008.  Successful students will graduate 36 months later and receive a Doctorate of Management Practice in Nurse Anesthesia (DMPNA) from Marshall University’s Lewis College of Business.

The DMPNA is an innovative practice doctorate developed jointly by CAMC and Marshall University in a unique combination of advanced professional nurse anesthesia practice with entrepreneurial business management training.
